Last Minute Ideas for Father’s Day Gift Giving on a Shoestring Budget

Another year has rolled by. Dad has been working hard and you want to give him the best Father’s Day ever. Right? Well let’s get planning!
First: Decide on a budget. Get a basic idea of what you’d like to see the day look like
Second: You’ll need some gift ideas. Remember to keep in mind what would make him happy.
Third: After these major decisions are made divide up who does what. Make sure someone is writing everything down and be sure to let everyone be involved. The making of memories and strengthening of family comes from everyone be involved.
Now let’s talk budget:
Shoestring Ideas
Look around the house does his favorite need cleaning? How about his truck or car? Maybe you could just clean the car out. Is there something he hates to do like yardwork that you could do for him? Whatever you do make sure you do what you promise. One of my kids gave me little coupons that I could redeem as needed.
Have a cup of coffee, newspaper or magazine waiting for him in the morning while you make his favorite breakfast. Plan a day where he gets all his favorite meals and a favorite dessert.
When it comes to money consider your budget and his hobbies. A magazine subscription may cost however, he may prefer to head to Barnes and Noble. If he an outdoors man he may love a new lure, mirror for a motorcycle, or gift card a sporting goods store. Sunglasses and hats can be an excellent choice.
The very little ones dump trash, set the table, stir food, color a card or picture. Paste some photos or pictures from old magazines that say they love him and helps them learn who dad is.
Whatever you choose remember the little ones. Help them get involved. As a mom I have always felt Mothers and Fathers Day are for the kids. After all where would we moms and dads be without them. Enjoy your day.
